WMG/WMOC2027 Orienteering Rehearsal 2-day tournament
PREFACE
In May 2027, the World Masters Games (WMG), an international competition for lifelong sports, will be held in the Kansai region, where anyone over the age of 30*1 can participate. There are 35 sports and 59 events as official competitions, and the orienteering competition is one of them, but it is also held as the World Masters Orienteering Championships (WMOC).
WMOC2027 is expected to attract more than 1,000 participants from overseas as the first event in Asia.
There are sprint events held in urban areas and parks, and forest events held in forests. Kami Town, Yabu City, and Kamikawa Town, located in the northern part of Hyogo Prefecture, will serve as the host municipalities for these events.
One year before the event, in order to smoothly operate the world-class event and build momentum, we will hold a rehearsal competition in collaboration with the executive committees of the host cities and towns.
